Shelby was born in Yuma County and has resided there all his life. In April of 2001 thru June 2002. He served as a student intern with the United States Custom Service RAIC in Yuma, before accepting a position with Yuma County Adult Probation. He worked there for 3 ½ years as a Surveillance Officer and assigned to specialized caseloads within the department in the Domestic Violence Offenders as well as Sex Offenders. He has been employed with the Constable’s office for 5 months as a Deputy Constable under John J. Nozar.
His parents and sister all reside in Yuma too. His father Glen has been with the Western Newspaper/Sun Graphics Printing for over 30 years. His mother Debbie is employed there as well. His sister is 28 years old and works at the Bureau of Reclamation before taking a position with the City of Yuma as Real Property Agents. Shelby is an avid hunter, and loves spending time outdoors.
