Sam
H. Brewer has been Constable since November 16th, 2004
for Payson Regional. In 1966 he attended and graduated
from the City of Phoenix Police Academy. Upon graduating
he served on the City of Phoenix Police Department from
1966-1969. He then moved to Payson in 1973 and worked
various jobs until he was hired by Gila County to work
in road maintenance as a truck driver. After working
for some time he decided to look into going back into
Law Enforcement. While he was still working for Gila
County he enrolled in Northland Pioneer College Police
Academy and graduated in 1993. After he graduated he
transferred from the Road Maintenance Department to
the Sheriff’s Department, as a new Deputy Sheriff
where he worked for nearly 8 years. During that time
there were numerous training classes that he attended,
which were civil law and civil service classes. While
he worked there he developed a long term working relationship
with the other Law Enforcement agencies in Northern
Gila County.
