Ken Ellis is a fourth generation Arizona native who
was born and raised in Flagstaff. Ken and his wife
Therese have been married for 28 years and have two
sons. Ken graduated from Northern Arizona University
and is an Army Vietnam veteran. Having served in the
Vietnam in 1969-1970 with the 2/47 Infantry, 9th Infantry
Division.
Ken began his law enforcement
career in 1976 with the Phoenix Police Department.
In 1980 Ken took a lateral transfer to the Arizona
Department of Public Safety. After a 22-year
career in law enforcement Ken retired from the Arizona
Department of Public Safety in 1998 to run for the
Office of Verde Valley Constable and was elected.
Ken was re-elected in 2002. Ken is also Arizona
Post Certified.
