Constable John Watson began service to the people
of Yavapai County in 2003. He has been a Yavapai County
Resident for 28 years and a Prescott area resident
for 21 years. He as born in San Angelo, Texas, but
most his family is primarily from Arizona. Previously
John served his community as a reserve Firefighter
for the city of Prescott, Central Yavapai and the
Chinco Valley Fire department. John also spent four
years as an ambulance driver/medic, and was a member
of the Yavapai sheriff's response team back
County unit S.A.R. Prior to being elected Constable
John worked for the Yavapai County Superior Court
as a Law clerk and bailiff. He also worked for Yavapai
college campus's police as a Patrol Officer.
John has received an associate degree in Law from
Yavapai College and continues to acquire more education
and training. John has been married for over 18 years
and has 3 children. He is a member of the Republic
party and stays active with local politics. John is
also a member of the LDS Church and a Scoutmaster
for the Paulden Troop of boy scouts. For hobbies John
spends as much time as possible outdoors with his
family and friends, hiking, camping, hunting, or playing
with his black powder firearms.
