- A constable ethics committee is established
consisting of the following voting members:
- Two constables from counties with a population of
less than one million persons who are appointed by the
Arizona association of counties.
- Two constables from counties with a population of
one million or more persons who are appointed by the
Arizona association of counties.
- One superior court judge who is appointed by the chief
justice of the Supreme Court.
- One justice of the peace who is appointed by the chief
justice of the Supreme Court.
- One county administrator who is appointed by the county
supervisors association.
- One sheriff who is appointed by the governor.
- One member of the public who is appointed by the governor.
- The chairperson of the Arizona commission on judicial
conduct or the chairperson's designee who is also a member
of the commission is the chairperson of the committee. The
chairperson of the committee is a nonvoting advisory member.
The committee shall adopt a constable code of conduct that
addresses attendance at mandatory training and rules of
procedure and shall receive administrative support from
the Arizona commission on judicial conduct.
